“读者第一”、“读者至上”、“一切为了读者”的口号,在我国图书馆是已经提倡很久了。但是,直到目前我国还有90％的馆和60％～80％的藏书闭架借阅。文献流通率每年只有43.8％(而国外一般都在100％—500％之间),科技文献利用率仅为10％。尽管我国图书情报界工作人员在经费严重短缺,每年藏书锐减的情况下,在清贫而又被人漠视的环境中,默默地做了大量工作,有些馆还做出了优异的成绩。可是,仅从上述数字中看,不能不说我国图书馆的社会效益和国外相比,还存在着很大差距。 The “readers first”, “readers first”, “all for the reader” slogan in our library has been advocated for a long time. However, up till now, there are still 90% of our museums and 60% ~ 80% of the collection books to borrow books. Although the Librarians in our country are in a serious shortage of funds and the number of books is drastically reduced every year, a great deal of work has been quietly done in the poor and indifferent environment. Some of the museums have also made outstanding achievements. However, only from the above figures, we can not fail to say that the social benefits of our library are still far behind those of other countries.
