到1991年底,厦门特区工业产值超亿元的企业达12家,占福建省总数的25％;产品销售额超亿元的达11家,占全省的25.6％。厦门特区的工业总产值已突破100亿元,是1980年的12倍多,进出口额达17.32亿美元,是特区创办前的20多倍。经济的发展培育了一大批大型企业。一批大型企业正向跨国公司发展,已有近10家公司到德国、波兰、菲律宾、泰国、香港等地创办了20多家境外企业。厦门特区大型工业企业中,“三资”企业已超过国营企业,达948家。
By the end of 1991, there were 12 enterprises with an industrial output value exceeding 100 million yuan in Xiamen, accounting for 25% of the total number in Fujian Province; 11 products with sales exceeding 100 million yuan accounted for 25.6% of the province. The total industrial output value of Xiamen Special Economic Zone exceeded 10 billion yuan, more than 12 times that of 1980, with an import and export volume of 1.732 billion U.S. dollars, more than 20 times that before the founding of the SAR. Economic development fostered a large number of large-scale enterprises. A group of large enterprises are developing to multinational corporations. Nearly 10 companies have set up more than 20 overseas enterprises in Germany, Poland, the Philippines, Thailand and Hong Kong. Among the large-scale industrial enterprises in the Xiamen Special Economic Zone, “three-funded” enterprises have surpassed state-owned enterprises, reaching 948.
