我于1980～1982年先后在美国哥伦比亚大学医学院和德州(Texas)理工大学医学院进修学习,并参观了科内尔(Cornell)大学医学院、纽约医学院等的药理系。我发现,他们普遍重视科研工作,而且都具有以下共同特点:一、他们对选择科研题目很慎重,一般都是经过深思熟虑反复考虑以后才决定的。他们的题目有结合实际的,也有理论性的,但不管是什么题目,都必须有较大的意义和价值。我们知道,美国的科研经费来自有关部门的资助,如生物医学方面的研究经费多来自国立卫生研究院。该院是美国医学生物学科研管理
From 1980 to 1982, I successively studied at Columbia University School of Medicine and Texas Polytechnic University School of Medicine and visited the Department of Pharmacology at Cornell Medical College and New York Medical College. I found that they generally attach importance to research work and all share the following common features: First, they are very cautious about choosing scientific research topics and are usually determined after careful consideration.
