血浆极低密度脂蛋白(VLDL)的代谢有三条旁路~(1)。一条是表面旁路,即VLDL在分解代谢过程中其表面组分参入到HDL分子内;另一条为核心旁路即VLDL经IDL转变成LDL的途径;第三条旁路为残基旁路,即VDL的某些组分IDL(中间密度脂蛋白)被肝脏摄取的过程。用同位素标记法在动物体内证实~(2’3’4),血浆VLDL分解代谢过程中,VLDL组分内的胆固醇酯的含量中有71~75%经第三条旁路被肝摄取,有2~5%的含量沿核心旁路代谢存于IDL及LDL分子内。说明正常动物体内VLDL-CHE转变成LDL-CHE是一条次要的途径,而第三条途径是VLDL-CHE分解代谢的主要途径。
