应台湾“中华石材工程发展协会”的邀请,我随中国矿业联合会矿业考察团,于2003年2月19日～28日对台湾矿业进行了考察,先后与台湾矿业管理人士、企业经营管理人员及社团学术人士进行了广泛的交流、座谈,还现场考察了石油公司油探处、旭华蛇纹石矿区、亚洲水泥厂石灰石矿区、荣工处白云石矿区等企业,对台湾地区的矿山安全生产工作留下了深刻印象。
