北京大学艺术系教授朱青生博士在《这是现代艺术》一文中为了达到他为“行为艺术”涂脂抹粉、歌功颂德的目的,一方面不惜贬低别人,认为《美术》杂志组织关于“行为艺术”的讨论“目前还不具备基础背景知识”,只有等他先来给大家上一堂“现代艺术”的启蒙课之后,才能够开始进行讨论,否则,就不能“防止行外人士”把这些“艺术的专门活动”误当作是“社会上的反常行为”。另一方面,他在论文中散布了一些极不符合事实,甚至极其荒谬的观点。他的观点涉及到如何看待“现代派艺术”,现代派艺术在国外是不是占有主流地位?以及如何创新等一系列重大问题,因此,我不得不指出他论点的荒谬和论据的不成立,免得谬论传播、混淆视听,损害艺术的健康发展。 其一,朱博士把艺术分为两种“一种是当代艺术,一种是现代艺术”。(准确地讲,他所说的“现代艺术”实质上是指“现代派艺术”)。紧接着他写道:“在所有发达国家,现代艺术已成为艺术的主流,成为政府资助和个人收藏的主体,成为社会文化
