被誉为“晚清民初学者第一人”的杨守敬,是著名舆地学家、泉币学家、书法家、书法理论家、目录学家。他一生著述83种之多,可谓真正的“著作等身”。其代表作《水经注疏》,是舆地学史上的一座高峰。他热爱书法,勤于笔墨,广涉真、行、隶、篆诸体,以行书流传最广,笔墨名扬天下。他精研书学,著有《楷法溯源》《评碑记》《评帖记》《学书迩言》等,具有宝贵的学术价值。他在中日书法交流中贡献巨大,推动了日本书法的现代化进程,因而被尊为“日本现代书法之父”。
Yang Shou-jing, hailed as “the first person to be a late-Qing dynasty novelist,” is a famous geo-scholar, Quan Yuan scholar, calligrapher, calligraphy theorist and bibliographer. He describes as many as 83 kinds of life, described as real “writings ”. His masterpiece, “Water by Note,” is a peak in the history of geo-geography. He loves calligraphy, diligently in writing, widely involved in real, line, Li, seal various subjects, to spread the most widely written, pen and ink famous world. His study of books, with “trace of the origin of the scriptures,” “monument to the commentary,” “commentary” “book” and so on, has a valuable academic value. He contributed a great deal to the exchange of calligraphy between China and Japan and promoted the modernization of Japanese calligraphy and was therefore honored as the “father of modern Japanese calligraphy.”
