在现代主义都显得落伍的今天谈现实主义,就如在中国与喜欢上了油画的大众再来唠叨中国画。事实上,如今在开放了眼界的中国人中,喜欢栩栩如生呼之欲出的油画肯定比喜欢强调气韵笔墨的中国画的人要多。有时会觉得有点想不通,某种角度讲,中国人本不太容易接受现实主义,起码在艺术方面,记得在明清时期,西方传教士将写实逼真的西洋画带入中华,就曾被视为不能入流的工匠伎俩,当时宫廷画家邹一桂就斥之为“笔法全无,虽工亦匠,故不如画品”。然而,历史走入现当代以来,现实主义与中国艺术形态的密切关联却令人惊异,可谓千丝万缕有时密切
