What to do in London? No food, average view, bad weather. Look for the bookstore! Charing Cross, antique bookstores, the world’s largest independent bookstore, a wide variety of themed bookstores ... These are just a few of the labels that make London a “pilgrimage site.” Yes, London is a city famous for its bookstores. If you are also a book lover, do not hesitate to embark on this London bookstore journey. In 1970, a small 93-page book “No. 84 Charing Cross Street” was published. The book is a stack of essays spanning 20 years and records the book’s love affair between New York-born woman writer Hayden Hough and Frank, an London bookstore bookseller. This little book, which was later translated into more than ten languages, was moved onto the stage and the big screen, becoming a taciturn sign among book lovers around the world, and London’s Charing Cross became undoubtedly the Cipher-like “book heaven” real memory.
