Layered double hydroxide (LDH) is a rare mineral in nature, but it is easy to synthesize an important material. In this paper, the structure evolution of Mg / Al-LDH heat treatment was studied by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The results show that Mg-Al solid solution-like periclase structural oxide is formed between 400 ℃ and 800 ℃ for Mg / Al-LDH with interlayer anions mainly carbonate.
