在经典童话故事里,以男性视角为主而忽略了女性的地位与作用是公认的事实。美国女性主义作家芭芭拉?G?沃克(Barbara G Walker)在《丑女与野兽》(Feminist Fairy Tales)中,从女性主义视角,对经典童话故事进行颠覆性书写,打破男女主角形象的固定模式,协调两性的不平衡关系。这样的童话改编其价值及局限性引发了童话改编者及女性主义研究家的新思考。
In the classic fairy tales, it is generally accepted that the status and role of women are dominated by masculinity and neglected. The value and limitations of such fairy tales adaptation lead to new thinking of fairy tales adapters and feminist researchers.
