Traditional Chinese medicine refers to traditional Chinese medicine clinical long-term application of the preferred out of production in a particular area, affected by the specific production and processing methods, compared with other regions produced the same kind of medicinal herbs with good quality, good efficacy and quality, with high visibility of herbs. The authentic medicinal material is a unique concept formed by the history of thousands of years of civilization in our country and the history of the development of traditional Chinese medicine. According to the definition of authentic medicinal materials, we can see that there are some differences in the quality and efficacy of the same medicinal materials between different regions , There is still a certain similarity in certain regions. Based on the content of artemisinic acid in sampling sites and its potential geographical environment factors, this paper analyzed the influence of geographical factors on the spatial distribution of artemisinin acid content of Artemisia annua in China. The results showed that the spatial distribution of artemisinic acid content was the result of the combination of various factors. The effects of environmental factors on the spatial distribution of artemisinic acid content were as follows: soil type (0.233)> average annual radiation (0.208)> vegetation type (0.192)> elevation (0.171)> sunlight (0.170)> annual average temperature (0.153)> annual average precipitation (0.111)> slope (0.110)> relative humidity. Among them, the type of soil and the average annual amount of radiation were the main influencing factors detected, and the main affected area was the area where the soil type was primordial soil and the average annual radiation was 1200 ~ 1400 k Wh · m-2. The dominant factor of geographical environment screened by this study can be used to monitor the spatial distribution of artemisinic acid by remote sensing technology and provide a theoretical basis for the cultivation of Artemisia annua.
