To sum up, it seems that the following points: The turmoil caused by the Soviet Union’s dissolution is extremely violent and the consequences are hard to measure: the trend of multipolarization is accelerating and the possibility of safeguarding world peace is increasing. However, the world is not too peaceful. From the Balkans to the South Caucasus, the war is fiercer than ever: the position of the United States is weakened and the internal conflicts in the Western Union are prominent. The disparity between the North and the South has widened, conflicts intensified, and hot spots in the region have increased. East Asia has been relatively stable and its economy has been thriving.
