On the standard of translation, traditional translation theories have always emphasized a “letter” in both the East and the West. That is to say, “faithfulness” is regarded as the basic standard of translation. However, rebellion seems to be strongly avoided by translators. However, for various reasons, it is impossible to be absolutely faithful in translation. The author analyzes four manifestations of intentional rebellion (expedient rebellion, strategic rebellion, care rebelliousness and creative rebellion) through examples. The purpose is to show that rebellion in translation is inevitable and sometimes necessary, In most cases, rebellion precisely in order to be better faithful to the original.
