时间如梭,光阴荏苒。大武汉近百年来的变迁就像穿越其间的长江,奔腾不息。无论历史怎样地风云变幻,武汉人对于看戏的热爱始终都像武汉夏天的阳光一样炽烈。清道光年间,叶调元在《汉口竹枝词》中就写道:“各帮戏台早标红,探戏闲人信息通。”可见那时看戏的热闹景象。公元1900年的汉口,演出戏曲的场所并不像今天称为剧场,也不像20年代前后称为戏园、戏院或舞台,当时称为茶园。如武汉市第一家茶园——丹桂茶园、可容纳观众2000人左右的满春茶园、楚剧入城后的第一个演出场所——清正茶园等。这些茶园规模不大,设备简陋。辛亥革命前后,一些专业唱戏的茶园,逐步改建、扩建,并改称舞台、戏院,如汉口大舞台,怡园、长乐戏院等。1919年汉口新市场(后称民众乐园)建成后,年获巨利,惹人注目,于是群起效法,各种戏院、舞台及综合性娱乐场所相继建立,据1934年《汉口市政概况》统计,共有37家之多。当年那些为数不少的茶园,到了不足百年的今天,能够找到故址的寥寥无几,绝大多数已在历史长河中淹没。留下的,或改头换面,或断壁残垣。我们能做的,就是在这个城市里搜寻一切关于这些历史的记忆符号,记录在纸上。本期《戏剧之家》,带您走进美成戏院。
