The junior high school literature textbooks used in this fall have all selected classical works. The first volume of junior high school organizes units according to the ideological content of the works, and a small number of classical works are selected. The third volume of junior high school is arranged according to the order of the times of works, and nearly half of them are classical works. The first volume of high school is arranged according to the literary history system and all of them are classical works. Since the beginning of the school year, as far as I know, among the literary masters, there are some opinions on the classical works of these textbooks. All opinions can be roughly divided into three types: One is from the purpose of dropping out of classical works, and it is doubtful whether middle school students should read many of these classical works. What is the purpose? Is it retrograde? The first is to improve students’ writing skills. The author believes that classical works do not help students’ writing. It is better to select more modern works. Another is to consider the effect of the dropout of classical works. They think that classical works are difficult to learn, difficult to learn, too selective, and dropout effects. Not necessarily good. In general, I think that too many classical works have been selected, especially in the first volume of high school, and classical works should not be selected. Here, I would like to talk about my opinions on these issues.
