一、前言三辊穿孔法是美国于1900年发明的,但由于当时不存在对难变形金属及其合金的穿孔问题,而二辊式穿孔机完全能满足生产的需要,因此,在相当长的时间内,这种方法在国外没有得到发展。直到1965年4月英国才安装了世界上第一台生产用三辊式穿孔机。无缝管三辊斜轧法是美国W·J·Assel于1932年前发明的,故称Assel型三辊轧管机。1935年3月美国Timken Roller Bearing公司在Wooster厂投产了世界上第一台Assel型三辊轧管机。由于第二次世界大战中军事工业对炮弹壳的需要量不断增长,这种生产厚壁管的三辊式斜轧机得到了迅速的发展。目前,随着钢铁工业和军事工业的日益发展,三辊式穿孔机和三辊式斜轧机已成为现代生产无缝管坯和无缝管的主要设备。而且,三辊穿孔法比二辊穿孔法具有下述优点:
