Objective To explore and reveal the status quo of self-harmony between young unemployed persons. Methods The self-consistency scale (SCCS) was used to test 156 young unemployed people in the city. Results The self-consistency of young unemployed people was lower than that of norm, self-experience discordance (t = 10.25, P <0.01), self-flexibility (t = 8.16, P <0.01) <0.01). There is no gender difference in the degree of self-consistency among young unemployed persons. Compared with self-harmony among different sexes, self-experience discordance (t = 0.67, P> 0.05), self-flexibility (t = 1.19, P> 0.05), self-stereotyping (t = 0.59, P> 0.05). Unemployment has a profound impact on the degree of self-consistency. Conclusion The young people who are unemployed have lower self-consistency than the norm, especially those who have been unemployed by young people and need more attention from all walks of life.
