去年8月13日,笔者集得一枚货泉,直径2.25、穿0.63、厚0.14厘米,重2克。生坑绿锈,汉中市内出土。此币的特点是面外郭为双重,内低外高,疑为重轮。常见大泉五十面重轮和乾元重宝背重轮,双重高度相等,没有外高内低现象(限于笔者所见)。王莽钱外郭多为外高内低,不成双重。《中国古钱谱》和《简明钱币辞典》均载有大泉五十面外郭为双重者,皆注明“重郭”。重郭者何义?笔者查阅了几种资料。 《简明钱币辞典》钱币学专用名词载: 额轮 指外郭外高内低,多见于王莽钱。 重轮 指二重外郭。 重郭 指二重内郭。 内郭 指钱孔四周之突出部分,又称好郭。 《中国钱币实用知识图说》载:

Heavy wheel means double outer Guo. Heavy Guo refers to double Guo.
