The serum sialic acid (SA) content and copper/zinc (Cu/Zn) ratio of 178 patients with primary lung cancer were analyzed and compared with 80 normal controls. The results showed that serum SA levels (122.20±36.30) and Cu/Zn ratio were significantly higher in patients with primary lung cancer than in the control group (P<0.01). Single test: The diagnostic sensitivity of the two indexes for lung cancer was 76.4% and 61.2%, and the specificity was 97.5% and 76.3%. Combined detection: When one of the two items was positive for diagnosis The specificity can reach 98.7%. It was shown that the combined detection of SA and Cu/Zn ratios had more clinical value in the diagnosis of lung cancer than single detection.
