2009年2月25日下午,上海文艺出版总社和《文汇报》社共同主办了主题为“创新科普,提升文化”的《新发现》杂志创刊三周年座谈会。全国政协副主席、科技部部长万钢,全国政协原副主席、中国工程院院长徐匡迪发来贺信。上海市委宣传部副部长宋超等出席座谈会并讲话。《新发现》主编严锋回顾了杂志创刊三年来的历程,介绍了新形势下办科普类传统期刊的体会。
On the afternoon of February 25, 2009, Shanghai Literary and Art Publishing Headquarters and Wen Wei Po News Agency jointly hosted the forum on the third anniversary of the founding of New Discover Magazine on the theme of “innovation of science popularization and promotion of culture”. Wan Gang, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, Minister of Science and Technology, former vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, and Xu Kuangdi, dean of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, sent a congratulatory message. Song Chao, vice minister of Shanghai Municipal Propaganda Department, attended the symposium and delivered a speech. Yan Feng, editor-in-chief of New Discovery, reviewed the course of the magazine’s first three years and introduced the experience of running popular periodicals in the new situation.
