Road transport plays a crucial role in the transportation industry in the United States because of its advantages over air-borne payloads, its flexibility over railways and its advantages over water-borne transport. The Road to the United States Milestones depend on modern road facilities and high-performance transport vehicles. The densely covered highway connects the cities and towns across the country to the rest of the Americas. Most of the U.S. highways are 8-lane on both sides and there is an isolation zone with a width of about 10 meters in the middle. An orange-yellow “Call Box” is located every half-kilometer on the highway, which is a direct line to the police station. In the event of an accident or road blockage, the police station can be reached in a very short period of time by simply calling the nearest police station.
