A comprehensive review of the development of cast aluminum and magnesium alloy and foundry processes for lightweight automotive applications. Has developed a new alloy with a wear-resistant automotive alloy, anti-creep magnesium alloy and high strength / toughness of magnesium alloy. In the forefront of technology, Vacuum Assisted Die Casting and High Vacuum Die Casting have been developed for the production of high integrity body and chassis parts. Low-pressure metal casting process for the production of structural thin-walled hollow castings. Overcast casting technology continues to evolve and it is possible to design automotive subsystems using hybrid materials such as engine mounts and dashboard beams. The simulation tools developed were used to predict the interfacial interactions between the various components and the structural integrity of the coated casting system and have been demonstrated by casting experiments.
