当今大型的通信网络往往集成了来自多家厂商的网络和通讯设备，而基于集中式方式的传统网络管理已难以满足用户的需求。移动ａｇｅｎｔ 是能够自动在网络各节点间移动并代表其它实体工作的软件实体，引起了人们广泛关注。文章介绍了有关移动ａｇｅｎｔ 的基本概念及其系统实现，并讨论了网络管理中移动ａｇｅｎｔ 技术的几个应用实例以表明移动ａｇｅｎｔ 是解决异构环境的复杂网管的有效途径。
Today’s large-scale communications networks tend to integrate networks and communications devices from multiple vendors, and traditional network management based on a centralized approach has been difficult to meet the needs of users. Mobile agent is a software entity that can automatically move among nodes in the network and work on behalf of other entities, arousing widespread concern. This paper introduces the basic concepts of mobile agent and its system implementation, and discusses several application examples of mobile agent technology in network management to show that mobile agent is an effective way to solve complex network management in heterogeneous environment.
