Mark is a new nutritional apple dwarfing rootstock that is now being commercialized. The height of the tree with Mark as an anvil is similar to that of M26. Or equivalent to half the height of apple-derived anvils. Roots strong. “Red Storage” apples grafted with Mark Anvil have been shown to have significant immunity over the past 15 years. It is the same as the non-spur type, but has similar early fruit to M9. In the NC-140 rootstock plan of East Lansing in the United States, the population of Marks animated super short branch red star apple planted in 1980 was superior to the other seven rootstocks in flowering. The NC-140 Rootstocks program also has similar results in flowering and fruiting habits in several other states and Canada.
