This article describes a new method for the determination of plutonium-239 in foodstuffs by the bismuth phosphate precipitation-anion exchange method. The method uses a miniature anion exchange column, which separates and purifies all the direct determination sources of plutonium-239, which has the advantages of simple equipment and convenient operation. The recovery of low-level plutonium-239 in 1 gram of food ash is> 60% and is suitable for routine monitoring of plutonium-239 in general foods.
