个性是相对于共性而言的,是学生个体有别于共体的个体性格特征。班主任是学生班集体的教育者、组织者与指导者,班级各项工作的开展不但直接影响班集体建设,而且也直接影响着学生的个性发展。个性教育旨在提升学生的优良个性。因此,为使学生的各方面能力都能得到发展,就需要班主任把每个学生的优良个性通过各种途径最大限度地发挥出来。首先,班主任要在思想上承认学生个性差异的存在,在教学工作中注意因材施教。这就要求我们了解学生的现实能力和个性特点,这对于他们个性的培养至关重要。
