由我国政府与职合国外空司、联合国亚太经社会等有关机构共同组织的“应用空间技术对抗自然灾害国际讨论会”于1991年9月23日至27日在北京香山饭店举行。会议的主要内容是交流和讨论空间技术(例如遥感、卫星通讯、全球定位系统等)在自然灾害(如洪水、林火、地震、台风、风暴潮等)预测、预报、灾害换失评估、灾后重建等方面的应用、并推动和促进这方面的国际合作。这次会议作为我国开展国际减灾十年活动及国际空间年活动的一项重要内容。 The “International Symposium on the Application of Space Technology to Combat Natural Disasters,” co-organized by our government, the Outer Space Division of the United Nations and the relevant agencies of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, was held in Xiangshan Hotel, Beijing from September 23 to September 1991.
