从1976年开始了探索非“T”型新三系。初期做了大量圆锥、硬粒、东方小麦种与普通小麦杂交组合,所得不育类型甚少。1979年冬在南繁春麦育种圃(F_1代)中发现了一批普通小麦种内杂交雄性不育株。当代自交保种,后经多代姊妹交保种和数个世代的父本回交,得以保持并培育出五个不育类型(组合)。前后共经历七年十一个世代。其中79527(7405—16红×74B)、79567(7505×7405—16红)两个不育类型达到了高不育水平。两个新不育类型培育过程如下:
Since 1976, we have explored non-T type new three lines. Initially made a lot of cones, Durum, Eastern wheat hybrids and common wheat, resulting in very few types of infertility.
