跆拳道是一项激烈的拳打脚踢的攻防对抗的搏击项目,实战中必须双方必须快速地移动、转身、滑步、跳跃以及在多变复杂的条件下完成合理的踢打,来进行判断、启动、攻击和完成快、准、稳、狠的高难腿法技术动作,竞技对抗中虽然只有三局(每局二分钟),由于双方对抗激烈,能量消耗加大。这就对运动员的力量、速度、耐力、弹跳等身体素质提出了愈高的要求。因此,对跆拳道运动员身体素质训练应贯穿整个训练计划。根据人体身体发育特征,在身体不同时期,跆拳道运动员应相应的发展、柔韧、速度、灵敏、弹跳、爆发力等基本素质,其它身体素质为辅。对于人体中的速度、力量、弹跳力、耐力等身体素质不是孤立存在和发展
