明塔克(Minntac)是明尼苏达州东北部铁山市附近的一个铁燧石矿采选企业,为美国钢铁公司所有和经营,年生产能力为1410万t,是国内铁矿石球团矿的主要来源。1994年6月明塔克获得国际标准化组织(ISO)9002合格证书,拥有员工1750名,一直保持着持续高效的生产。明塔克球团矿生产始于1967年,从1967年到1988年,生产出酸性球团矿18800万t,二氧化硅含量在5.4%～6.2%之间。1988年,安装了浮选设备,进一步降低了二氧化硅含量,生产出二氧化硅含量为4.0%,碱比为1.10的助熔团矿。目前团矿的指标为:二氧化硅含量为4.25%,碱比为1.04。
Minntac, an iron flint ore mining and dressing company near Tieshan, northeast of Minnesota, is owned and operated by U.S. steel companies with an annual production capacity of 14.1 million tons and is the mainstay of domestic iron ore pellets source. In June 1994, Mintac won the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9002 certificate and employs 1750 people. It has maintained a sustained and efficient production. Mintak pellet production began in 1967, from 1967 to 1988, to produce 188,800,000 t of acidic pellets with a silica content of 5.4% to 6.2%. In 1988, flotation equipment was installed to further reduce the silica content to produce fluxed ore with silica content of 4.0% and an alkali ratio of 1.10. The current group of indicators are: silica content of 4.25%, alkali ratio of 1.04.
