福建省连城兰桥锰矿床储量约占全省探明储量的三分之一,矿石质量好,为冶金锰矿石。深入研究其成矿地质条件和分布规律,对在福建省寻找风化型和原生锰矿床将会所有助益。地质概述兰桥锰矿区位于闽西南永安—梅县坳陷西北部,上古生代海侵区的三明—上杭水下隆起带西侧。区内褶皱、断裂发育,上占生代至中生代岩浆侵入—火山喷发活动频繁。 (一) 地层区内主要分布上占生代和少量中生代地层,由于断裂、岩浆侵入破坏及第四系大面积覆盖,仅从工程揭露和露天采场所见概述如下:
