阿巴拉契亚山脉,也称阿巴拉契亚高地,是一条位于北美洲东部的巨大山系阿巴拉契亚山脉是大西洋与北美大陆内部广袤的低地之间一道天然屏障。山脉从加拿大的纽芬兰省起,经过美国东部,向南直到拉巴马州中部,呈现为东北—西南走向。山脉北部宽度在130～160公里之间,南部宽度在480～560公里之间。全长约3200公里。山脉的最高峰是米切尔峰(海拔2037米),为美国东部的最高点。
The Appalachian Mountains, also known as the Appalachian Highlands, is a huge mountain range in eastern North America The Appalachian Mountains provide a natural barrier between the Atlantic and the vast lowlands within the North American continent. Mountains from Newfoundland in Canada, through the eastern United States, south until the central state of La Pama, showing the northeast - southwest. The northern range of the mountains ranges from 130 to 160 kilometers in width and the southern width ranges from 480 to 560 kilometers. The total length of about 3200 km. The highest mountain range is Mitchell Peak (2037 meters above sea level), the highest point in the eastern United States.
