肿瘤是人类当前面临的最大顽症 ,原癌基因的激活 ,抑癌基因的突变失活是肿瘤形成的重要分子基础。肿瘤细胞获得无限增殖的特性—永生性 ,在肿瘤的发生发展中起重要作用。端粒酶在细胞永生化和肿瘤发生发展过程中起关键作用。端粒是染色体末端的一种特殊结构 ,为 DNA与蛋白质的复合体。端粒酶是目前发现的唯一能延长端粒的一种 RNA依赖性 DNA聚合酶。肿瘤细胞中端粒酶被激活 ,所以端粒酶活性将成为肿瘤检测的新指标。端粒酶抑制剂将成为肿瘤治疗的一种新途径
Tumors are the most chronic diseases that humans are currently facing. The activation of proto-oncogenes and the inactivation of tumor suppressor genes are important molecular foundations of tumor formation. The immortality characteristic of tumor cells acquires immortality and plays an important role in the development of tumors. Telomerase plays a key role in cell immortalization and tumor progression. Telomeres are a special structure at the end of the chromosome, which is a complex of DNA and protein. Telomerase is the only RNA-dependent DNA polymerase found to extend telomeres. Telomerase is activated in tumor cells, so telomerase activity will become a new indicator for tumor detection. Telomerase inhibitors will become a new approach to cancer therapy
