迪尔河大坝基岩与大坝下游坝底之间存在几层低密度的非粘性土,在发生大地震时可能液化,造成大坝坍塌。美国垦务局决定对该坝进行改造,以保证大坝不受地震破坏。
Several layers of low-density, non-cohesive soil exist between the bedrock of the Deer River dam and the dam bottom downstream of the dam, which may liquefy during a major earthquake and cause the dam to collapse. The United States Bureau of Reclamation decided to transform the dam to ensure that the dam is not damaged by the earthquake.
