礼貌是人类文明的象征 ,是人类社会的普遍现象。然而不同的文化有着不同的礼貌衡量标准以及表达方法。从而赋予“礼貌”一词不同的文化内涵。礼貌本身可以成为成功交际的重要组成部分 ,因而礼貌用语常常成为语言学家的研究对象。中西文化相去甚远 ,西方文化常以英美文化为代表。“礼貌”一词在两种不同文化中的含义也存在一定差异。本文旨在分析中西文化中“礼貌”一词的不同文化内涵以对比研究中西会话语用结构的差异
Politeness is a symbol of human civilization and a universal phenomenon in human society. However, different cultures have different standards of politeness and expression. Thus giving “polite” a different cultural connotation. Politeness can be an important part of successful communication, and polite language is often the subject of linguists. Chinese and Western cultures are far apart, and Western culture is often represented by Anglo-American culture. The meaning of “politeness” also differs in two different cultures. The purpose of this article is to analyze the different cultural connotations of the word polite in Chinese and Western cultures to compare the differences in the pragmatic structure of the Chinese and Western conversations
