Objective To improve the awareness rate of tube nurses in cerebrovascular patients through QC activities. Methods A QC group was set up and a total of 60 discharged patients with cerebrovascular diseases from June 2014 to September 2014 were surveyed by questionnaire survey. The survey included the patients’ knowledge of the nurses of the tube nurses and their causes. Results The response rate of patients to bed nurses was 96.7% (58/60), and the results of questionnaire were integrated. The main reasons why patients with cerebrovascular disease have low awareness about tube nurses include: poor patient memory, patient’s purpose is not to care about nurses, nurses shift is not fixed, nurses self-introduction awareness is weak, and nurses wear the same. The panelists analyzed the reasons why patients knew less about tube nurses and found out the countermeasures for the cause. Through the QC activity, the awareness of tube-bed nurses was eventually increased from 60% to 93% in patients with cerebrovascular disease. Conclusion QC activity can effectively improve the awareness of nurses in the management of cerebral blood vessels.
