OBJECTIVE: To compare the differences between the minimally invasive and traditional surgical treatments in patients with benign breast tumors. METHODS: A total of 208 female patients with benign breast neoplasms who were diagnosed as benign breast tumors from December 2014 to July 2016 were selected from the Fifth People’s Hospital of Wanzhou District, Chongqing. Randomly divided groups were divided into traditional group and minimally invasive group. Group of 104 cases. The traditional group of patients with traditional surgical treatment; minimally invasive minimally invasive minimally invasive surgery. The two groups of patients were followed up, comparing the two methods of treatment of patients with bleeding during hospitalization, incision size, healing time, the prognosis after discharge, recurrence. Results: According to the data of follow-up monitoring, no recurrence occurred in both groups within 8 months to 4 years. The minimally invasive group of patients after treatment, the breast did not appear obvious scar, depression and other abnormalities. In the traditional group, there were 18 cases of breast depression, 48 cases of abnormal sensation around the incision, and 104 cases of obvious scar. The minimally invasive group had better postoperative recovery than the traditional group (P <0.05) Compared with the traditional group, the amount of bleeding was less, the incision was smaller and the healing time was shorter. The differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P <0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Patients treated with minimally invasive surgery have a better prognosis than traditional surgeries in patients with benign breast tumors, with faster recovery, less damage, and fewer clinical complications. Therefore, minimally invasive treatment has obvious advantages.
