龙潭,一个古老而神秘的地方。古时候,这里高山密林以蔽日,猛虎长啸;涓流幽晦结深潭,神龙腾跃。诸葛亮屯兵,石总兵平乱,对日最后一战,由此而使这个地方名噪四方。龙潭,一方富饶而深沉的土地。明朝初年,18姓人从江西迁徙而来,在这块沃土上辛勤耕耘,世代相传。参天的古木,碧澄的流水,肥沃的田土,宜人的气候,使这里物产丰富。一句“担不尽的龙潭”,概括了它富得流油的内涵。然而,星转斗移,沧海变迁。“钢铁元帅”升帐的时候,参天古木被填进“熔炉”化为灰烬;毁木开荒的浪潮又将这块土地掀得山秃石裸;乱砍滥伐的刀斧更使零散的树林日渐消失。昔日森林茂密、溪水碧绿的龙潭面目全非,人们眼前只剩一片疮痍……青山绿水变成了穷山恶水！
