The impact of fibrinogen genotype on plasma fibrinogen concentration is still debatable. There is no research report on the relationship between genotypes and atherosclerosis. The purpose of this study was to find out which fibrinogen genotype is associated with peripheral atherosclerosis. The subjects were two groups of 55-74 years old, the first group of 121 patients with peripheral arterial disease, the second group of age and sex matched the first group of 126 healthy controls
