晚清赴日考察者,对日本学校体育进行了系列考察,可以从精神、制度、实践三个层面进行钩沉。在精神层面上,考察者关注到精神教育为日本教育的基础,在此基础上德育、智育、体育并重;在制度层面上,考察者关注了日本的教育系统、学制及课程设置,注意到日本的学校体育被置于总体的卫生系统之中;在实践层面上,考察者颇为关注的是日本的军事学校、普通学校中的小学、师范学校以及体育专科学校。日本各级学校构成一个国民教育的整体,学校体育除了发挥强身健体的功用,还被纳入整体的军事化布局之中。
Late Qing observers, conducted a series of inspections of Japanese school sports, from the spirit, system, practice three levels. On the spiritual level, the observer concerned that spiritual education is the foundation of Japanese education, on the basis of which both moral education, intellectual education and sports are taken as equal emphasis. At the institutional level, the observers pay attention to Japan’s education system, academic system and curriculum, noting that Japan Of school physical education are placed in the overall health system. At the practical level, the observers are quite concerned about Japanese military schools, elementary schools in ordinary schools, normal schools and sports colleges. Japan’s schools at all levels constitute a national education as a whole. Apart from exerting the function of physical and mental health, school sports are also incorporated into the overall militarization layout.
