Epidemiological studies have shown that the predisposing factors of female tumors in this city are closely related to the air pollution in the kitchen environment except for smoking. The main sources of pollution are incomplete combustion of fuel and cooking oil fumes during cooking. Relevant information suggests that the relative risk of lung cancer among common cooking oil cooks is higher than that of commonly used soybean oil. Ames microbiological tests have confirmed that fume agglomerates from edible vegetable oils, refined vegetable oils, and soybean oil have indirect mutagenic effects on TA98 strains.
