要回到文化史的角度考察中国电影。事实上,如果重新回到中国早期电影,我们就会发现,即使在默片时期,也有相当多的跨国因素——从中国电影一开始出现的双语字幕,到我们所聘用的来自美国和日本的电影技术人员。所以,如果放开“国族”作为惟一的考察角度,我们的确可以研究其他的因素,尤其是在电影制作过程中跨国资本的流通问题,这样就可以打开研究的视野。
To return to the perspective of cultural history of Chinese movies. In fact, if we go back to China’s early films, we will find that there are quite a few transnational factors even during the silent period - from the bilingual subtitles that appeared at the beginning of Chinese films to the films we hired from the United States and Japan Technical staff. Therefore, if we liberalize the “nationality” as the sole point of investigation, we can indeed study other factors, especially the circulation of transnational capital in the film making process, so that we can open the horizon of the research.
