Objective To analyze the effect of fluorine content in rural drinking water in Handan County on the population growth and development, bone mineral density and osteocalcin in 4-15-year-old group. Methods A total of 689 people aged 4-15 years in drinking water high fluoride area and 569 people aged 4-15 years old in low fluoride drinking water were collected from Handan County. The bone development, growth and development, calf tibia and bone mineral density Su-level. Results Compared with the growth and development in different age groups, the lower fluoride area of 10 ~ 12 years old group and 13 ~ 15 years old group in high fluoride area was more slow, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05); high fluoride area There were 201 (29.43%) patients with delayed bone development and 58 (10.19%) patients with delayed bone development in low-fluoride areas. There was a significant difference between the two groups (P <0.05) There were no significant differences in bone mineral density between the 4 to 6 years old group and the 7 to 9 years old group (P> 0.05), while the BMD of the 10 to 12 years old group and the 13 to 15 years old group in the high fluoride area was lower than that in the low fluoride area (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in serum osteocalcin between the high fluoride area and the low fluoride area among all age groups (P> 0.05). Conclusion High-fluoride drinking water in rural areas of Handan County can affect the growth and development, bone development and bone mineral density of the population aged 4-15 years, and significantly affect the population of 10-15 years old group, but have no significant effect on the level of osteocalcin.
