We know that there is a long-haired elephant on Earth called the mammoth. The mammoth was the largest terrestrial animal on Earth at the time. Unlike today’s elephants, they are suitable for living in cold climates. So, during the ice age, they are almost all over Eurasia and North America. Later, as the ice age ended and the climate warmed up, their habitat narrowed to Siberia and the Arctic. The mammoth in Siberia was extinct some 10,000 years ago. A small herd of mammoths on the island of St. Paul, North Alaska, preserved until 3750 BC. The last mammoth on earth lives on the island of Wrangler in the Arctic, extinct time is 1650 BC.
