柑桔小实蝇(Dacus dorsalis Hendel)是为害各种果实的世界性害虫。此虫1929年初发现于喜界岛,后来扩大蔓延到整个奄美群岛。从1953年起日本曾以植物检疫法规限制这个群岛的寄主植物向日本国内其他地区调运。对一些必须调出的果品亦严格进行薰蒸处理。在群岛上还曾由一些积极的农户认真掩埋被害的落果,并往果园喷布杀虫剂。1962年起在桠柑园还试用装有甲基丁子香酚(me-thyl eugenol)的诱集器诱杀雄虫。但这些措施
Dacus dorsalis Hendel is a worldwide pest of various fruits. This worm was found in early 1989 at Xijie Island, and later spread to the entire Amakusa Islands.
