村民自治是新时期我国农村实行的一项重大政治体制改革。它给加强和改进农村基层党的领导提出了新课题。党的领导将面临新的机遇和考验。本文拟从村民自治是中国农村走向民主政治的基本途径；新时期农村基层党的领导面临的问题；村民自治有利于巩固和发挥农村基层党组织战斗堡垒作用三方面出发，探讨新时期如何加强和改进农村基层党的领导问题。
Villagers’ autonomy is a major political reform implemented in rural China in the new era. It proposed new tasks for strengthening and improving the leadership of rural grass-roots units. Party leadership will face new opportunities and tests. This article intends from the villager autonomy is the basic way for the rural areas in China to move toward democracy; the problems facing the leadership of the rural grass-roots units in the new era; the self-government of villagers is conducive to consolidating and giving play to the role of rural grass-roots party organizations as a fighting fortress. Improve the leadership of rural grass-roots units.
