中国近现代的文化发展，围绕“传统文化与现代化”这一核心问题，存在着全盘西化论、儒学复兴论和综合创造论三种观点。当代中国文化发展具有双重背景──传统文化与现代文化的冲突及现代文化与后现代文化的冲突。建构现代理性文化模式，既要突出文化的时代性，体现现代文化的科学精神和民主精神，又要注意开发和挖掘传统文化的优长。
In the modern Chinese cultural development, around the core issue of “traditional culture and modernization”, there are three kinds of views: the total westernization theory, the Confucianism revivalism theory and the comprehensive creationism theory. The development of contemporary Chinese culture has a double background: the conflict between traditional culture and modern culture and the conflict between modern culture and postmodern culture. To construct a modern rational cultural model, we must not only highlight the cultural times, embody the scientific spirit and democratic spirit of modern culture, but also pay attention to developing and exploiting the advantages of traditional culture.
