The impact of Ba Jin’s political beliefs (ie anarchism) on his early literary works has received more and more researchers’ attention. His early novels, especially the “Death” and “Trilogy of Love”, contain the deep relationship between the author’s belief and his literary creation, which shows the author’s reflection on revolution, history and time. Revolution was the core concept of anarchism and also the historical reality of China in the late 1920s and early 1930s when Pugin had to face China’s history through his own literary works and political writings The crisis of the government movement, the significance of the national revolution, the Sa Ke Fanteat incident, the development of the labor movement both at home and abroad, and so on, and explores in depth the two opposing time views of historical materialism and historical idealism.
