3月12日,记者从中国农业科学院作物科学研究所主办、国家谷子糜子产业技术研发中心承办的首届国际谷子遗传学会议上获悉,谷子正发展成为禾本科功能基因组研究的新模式作物。农业部副部长、中国农业科学院院长李家洋在致辞时说,遗传学的不断发展,为解决人类健康、促进生物产业、保障农业生产和粮食安全提供了重要的科学保障。随着社会进步和人类需求的不断提升,需要不断推动遗传学的深入发展,而模式生物在引领重要的科学发现和先进研究手段的不断进步方面扮演着十分重要的角色。
